Glutathione shots or infusions are primarily used to boost the immune system, and for anti-ageing by reducing oxidative stress i.e. for its role as an antioxidant. It’s also used to improve arterial health by helping to prevent plaque build up, and to help improve blood sugar health. Glutathione is also involved with helping the body to detoxify, and may help reduce the presence of heavy metals in the body.

We can give glutathione either as a “shot” which just takes 10 minutes, or as part of a Vitamin IV infusion. We give them most commonly as an optional extra along with the Myers cocktail or Vitamin C IV’s. One of Vitamin C’s main roles in the body is to increase the production of glutathione, so it makes sense to combine them together where there is a need to boost immunity. The usual dosage given is 600mg per shot. Higher amounts can be given upon request.
