Parking is a bit of a pain almost everywhere in London (or in our case on the London / Hertfordshire border), but you can often park immediately or almost immediately outside, or in in the Spires car park which is 3 minutes walk away. In both cases this is paid parking. There is free parking on Hadley Green Road if you are willing to walk for about 5-6 minutes, as well as along the A1000 (the continuation of the same road we are on) around 6-8 minutes away walking up the road going north away from the shops, and walking in the same direction, on Kitts End Road off the main road. Coming from either of the last two locations, you will walk adjacent to the field where the Battle Of Barnet took place during the Wars of the Roses in 1471, or if you want to avoid the pollution, you can walk parallel with the road through Hadley Green where the battle took place.
